With each year of training, something new grows at SerNet – not only specialist knowledge, but also ideas, responsibility, and team spirit. On August 1, two new trainees joined the company. They are starting out together with a strengthened training team and a project that focuses on sustainability.
New faces in the 2025/26 training year
Lätizia Braun is starting her training as an IT specialist for system integration in the SI department. She already had a keen interest in technology and programming at school. Now she wants to deepen her knowledge as part of Krischan Jodies and Jonas Reineke's team.
Nele Siebrecht is starting as a dual student at SerNet at the same time. After completing her bilingual high school diploma, she is now combining her studies with practical experience: she will build up her business management knowledge in the Business Administration department at VWA Göttingen and work in all administrative departments at the same time.
“We are very pleased that Lätizia and Nele are starting their professional careers with us,” says Managing Director Reinhild Jung. “They bring curiosity and motivation with them. That is exactly the ideal start for a successful apprenticeship.”
There are also some new additions to the training team. Corinna Klawonn took over as training manager in administration on August 1. In technical training, Alexander Otte is taking on the role of trainer for system integration alongside Jonas Reineke.
Sustainability as a guiding principle
SerNet combines the start of a career with the opportunity to take on responsibility – this year particularly evident in a project that is set to leave a lasting mark. Trainee initiatives have already had an impact at the Göttingen-based media company, SerNet's headquarters: at that time, they led to a comprehensive switch to LED lighting, among other things.
This time, it all starts with a simple question: “What does sustainability mean to me?” The trainees will develop their own ideas from this over the course of the year. It is still unclear where the journey will lead. “That's exactly what makes it exciting,” says Managing Director Oliver Seufer. “We trust our trainees to develop something big from small beginnings.” For Jung, the key thing is: “Our trainees should not only learn, but also shape and experience the impact of their ideas.”
Training with impact
SerNet offers various paths into the professional world: training as an IT specialist for system integration and a dual degree program in business administration at VWA Göttingen, which can be combined with work at the company and, optionally, with an IHK degree. Eight young talents are currently developing their skills together at the company. “The exchange between them is particularly important to us,” explains Jonas Reineke. “Anyone who starts with us quickly becomes part of a network where you learn from each other.”
