SerNet places great importance on training the next generation of professionals in Göttingen – specifically in the business field (business administration through a dual study program) and in the field of IT (system integration). SerNet’s trainees are supervised by Corinna Klawonn for the business field as well as Jonas Reineke and Alexander Otte  for the technical apprenticeship programs.

Starting in the summer of 2028, we will once again have an opening for a dual study program leading to a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration (d/f/m) and an apprenticeship position IT Specialist in System Integration (d/f/m) to fill. In cooperation with the VWA Göttingen SerNet offers trainees the opportunity to complete a dual course of study in business administration. The corresponding degrees can be obtained through a bachelor's degree and an IHK examination. Thanks to a special cooperation with the Chamber of Industry and Commerce in Göttingen, dual students can also obtain a qualified apprenticeship degree. SerNet enables this combination in all areas in which we also offer apprenticeships(office management & IT systems integration / application development).

SerNet also employs working students who are enrolled full-time (Bachelor or Master) in computer science at the Georg-August University. Alongside their studies, they work at SerNet for a third of their time, especially during the lecture-free period. In this way, students can earn the equivalent of a Bafög maximum rate and thus finance their studies themselves.

SerNet strives to increase diversity in STEM occupations. The percentage of non-male workers in the technical career field is growing every year. STEM professions are considered demanding and difficult, but hold attractive benefits that make the effort put into training or studying well worth it.

The training at SerNet is aimed at mixed teams with combined competencies: the prospective specialists are taught both hard skills and soft skills within 3 years. These include, among other things, understanding the daily work in support, communication with customers and responsible committed work in a team.
