At their General Meeting on April 29, 2025, the members of DENIC eG reappointed Dr. Johannes Loxen, Managing Director and co-founder of SerNet GmbH, to the Supervisory Board of the cooperative. The appointment reflects the continued trust placed in his many years of expertise in digital infrastructure and IT security.
Loxen is no stranger to DENIC: he was a member of the DENIC Supervisory Board from 2007 to 2016 and from 2019 to 2022, most recently as Chairman. With his election in 2025, he returns to the supervisory body.
As the central registry, DENIC eG manages all domains under the top-level domain .de and is responsible for the secure and stable operation of the German internet infrastructure. As a registered cooperative, it thrives on the commitment of its members – including SerNet. “I am delighted that the members have placed their trust in me once again,” said Loxen. ”The growing desire for digital sovereignty and resilience requires strong structures: technical, organizational, and collaborative.”
In addition to Johannes Loxen, Stephan Hageleit, Marco Hoffmann, Christian Müller, and Oliver Elste were confirmed in their positions. At the constituent meeting, Oliver Elste was elected as the new chairman of the supervisory board.
