SerNet is once again granting a "Deutschlandstipendium" at Georg August University of Goettingen in the 2025/26 funding year, thereby specifically supporting young talent and education in the region. The University of Goettingen has raised funds for a total of 185 Germany Scholarships for 2025/26, once again placing it at the top of the list of universities in Lower Saxony. This is thanks to the university's excellent fundraising work and a reliable network of local sponsors.
This year, the scholarship sponsored by SerNet will go to Josefine Kreidl, who is studying for a double bachelor's degree in ethnology and Hispanic studies. The Germany Scholarship supports particularly talented and committed students with 300 euros per month for one year. Half of the funding comes from private sources and half from federal funds.
SerNet has been a supporter of the Germany Scholarship for many years. The commitment is deliberately open to all disciplines: SerNet not only supports “obvious” computer science disciplines, but all courses of study – especially those where there is less economic interest. The commitment is part of a long-term collaboration with scientific institutions in the region. Beyond providing concrete support, SerNet attaches great importance to strengthening science and helping to build a regional scientific community: through young talent, constructive exchange, and prospects in Goettingen and the region.
