SerNet GmbH has a new team leader in Jonas Reineke. He took up his position in the "SI - Secure Infrastructures" department on January 1, 2024 and already had a few weeks to familiarize himself with his new but by no means unfamiliar tasks: His career at SerNet began almost 10 years ago as an apprentice.
In his new role, Jonas Reineke works closely with Krischan Jodies as team leader and is responsible for managing four competence clusters: Server, MS Cloud, Network and Domains. Together with the Firewall, Mail, Endpoint and Sensors clusters, they cover key areas of IT security and form SerNet's core portfolio. Reineke brings a fresh perspective to the team leadership that perfectly complements Jodies' many years of expertise from over 20 years with the company.
Reineke started at SerNet in 2014 with his training as an IT specialist for system integration and worked as a consultant after successfully completing his training. In 2018, he began studying Applied Computer Science at the Georg-August University of Göttingen, while at the same time working as a student trainee at SerNet. "The first semesters were challenging, especially because of the intensive mathematics. However, the continuous work at SerNet helped me to combine theory and practice in a meaningful way," reflects Reineke.
After completing his Bachelor's degree in 2021, he returned to SerNet as a permanent team member and took on increasing responsibility in training. "Passing on knowledge and experience to younger colleagues is important to me personally. Promoting young talent is also an essential part of our corporate philosophy," emphasizes Reineke.
The path from training to team leader is exemplary of the development and career opportunities within the company: "Taking on the role of team leader is a new challenge that I am facing with respect and curiosity," explains Reineke. He draws motivation from the family working environment at SerNet, the opportunity to help shape the company and its commitment to forward-looking services.
