74 applications, 9 teams in the finals, over 200 guests: this year's LIFT-OFF Startup Competition hosted by the Georg-August-Universität Göttingen once again attracted a strong field of participants. SerNet was there as the main sponsor—as it has been for many years.
Organized by the Transfer & Startup Hub at the University of Göttingen, the competition once again showcased a wide range of startup ideas: from medical applications to sustainable land use and social innovations. The award ceremony took place at the Alte Mensa on Wilhelmsplatz, under the patronage of Mayor Petra Broistedt and State Secretary Prof. Dr. Joachim Schachtner from the Lower Saxony Ministry of Science and Culture.
SerNet founder Dr. Johannes Loxen once again served as a jury member and was on the podium at the awards ceremony. For him and for SerNet, LiftOff represents exactly what the company supports in the region: the journey from scientific idea to entrepreneurial practice. In addition to LiftOff, SerNet is involved in the University of Göttingen’s Germany Scholarship, the South Lower Saxony Innovation Campus, the Gauss Society, and other initiatives promoting science and startup culture in South Lower Saxony.
