SerNet follows the claim to offer the best Samba support worldwide. Almost every large Samba project is handled by us or one of our customers. In addition, we provide widely distributed and popular Samba packages under the name SAMBA+.
SerNet offers Samba services to customers all over the world. This includes support, consulting, training, software development and bugfixing. You either conclude service level agreements with us or purchase support credits in the SAMBA+ shop.
Support addresses all SAMBA features in terms of installation, configuration, deployment and maintenance of the software regarding authentication, file and print services and clustering. SerNet supports Enterprise Linux from Red Hat and SUSE as well as Debian and Ubuntu and commercial Unix like AIX, Sun-OS or HP-UX. Due to partnership agreements with IBM, Red Hat and SUSE SerNet is able to solve SAMBA integration issues with these vendors.
Customers of SerNet are medium and big hardware vendors or system integrators and startups. They build Linux based appliances for network services like WAN acceleration, file and print services, proxy servers, routers and antivirus filter appliances.
All of them can entrust us with reaction times down to one hour for remote services all around the world. We enhance Samba on demand – we also take care for these changes to stay in the core codebase and therefore to be supported in the future.
Six members of the international Samba team work at SerNet. That makes us the only system integrator with members from the Samba core team. And it's more than 50 years of Samba experience adding up: We code. We debug. We release the code, we document it. And we keep it running.
Especially the evolution of protocols from SMB 1 to 3 and further asks for seamless migration between platform generations. The combined experience of our Samba experts and their core know how enables SerNet and our customers to follow this evolution.
